What we experience when we give birth is profound and can change us forever. Perhaps you experienced a birth which you found traumatic; recently, or years ago. You may be suffering with negative feelings and memories of that time in your life. There is no timeline when we are processing trauma, or grief. 

Experiencing trauma in the birth space can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disappointed, angry, anxious, guilty, ashamed, or disconnected from yourself. You may be struggling with intrusive memories, fear around future births, difficulties with bonding or breastfeeding, or a lingering sense that something important was lost.

Often, new mothers hear phrases like “at least you have a healthy baby” from well-meaning family and friends. While intended to comfort, these words can unintentionally dismiss the depth of what you experienced. As motherhood takes over, your own healing can be pushed aside as you tend to others needs, before your own.

Healing after birth trauma is deeply courageous work. When you heal yourself, the effects ripple outward into your relationships, your motherhood journey, and your family as a whole. You deserve support, care, and the opportunity to feel whole again.

These sessions offer a safe, compassionate space to gently revisit and process your birth story and any associated trauma. Together, we work to unravel the layers of trauma, grief, and emotion held within the experience, helping you move toward healing, clarity, and peace.

What does an Unravelling your birth experience session with me involve?

This 1:1 session is a 2-hour Zoom call which involves​ you sharing your story with me, we then unpack this together, discussing further, elaborating and reframing where necessary. These sessions are centred around being deeply heard, supported and honoured in your experience. I will share tools and resources with you to support your on-going processing and healing journey. ​

Loss in the motherhood and birth space can bring deep sadness, shock, anger, guilt, numbness, anxiety, or a feeling of isolation. You may be grieving the loss of a baby, a pregnancy, a birth experience you hoped for, or the version of yourself and your life that existed before. Grief can also show up in unexpected ways — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Often, people around you do not fully understand the depth of this kind of loss. Well-meaning comments can leave you feeling unseen, dismissed, or pressured to move forward before you are ready. Healing from loss does not mean forgetting. It means learning how to carry your grief with tenderness, while reconnecting with yourself, your strength, and your capacity for hope and peace again. 

What does a Healing after loss session with me involve?

This 1:1 session is a 2-hour Zoom call designed to provide support as you process the often unsupported emotional impact of miscarriage, stillbirth, loss, abortion, termination or IVF trauma. 

I will create a compassionate space for you to share your loss experience, explore your emotions and gently navigate your healing journey at your own pace. These sessions are centred around being deeply heard, supported and honoured in your experience. I will offer reflections, tools and supportive practices that may help you process grief, reconnect with yourself and honour your loss.

Are you looking to have another child and want to plan for a different experience than you previously had? After a difficult or traumatic birth experience, preparing to give birth again can bring up fear, anxiety, grief or uncertainty. You may be longing for a different experience this time. You might have a clear idea of how you want your next birth to look, but not be able to navigate the system to find the support you want. Our current maternity systems can be challenging to navigate.

This session is a supportive and empowering session designed to help you navigate the system and prepare mentally, emotionally and practically for your next birth. Your partner is very welcome to join us in this session, although this isn’t essential. We will work together to create a pathway towards a more positive and potentially healing birth.

Please note that an Unravelling your birth experience session is required prior to booking a Planning your healing birth session. Processing and understanding your previous birth experience creates an important foundation for deeper healing and more intentional preparation for your upcoming birth.

What does a Planning your healing birth session with me involve?

This 1:1 session is a 2-hour Zoom call designed to provide a practical and supportive pathway towards your next birth.

I will create a compassionate space for you to share how you have been since our Unravelling your birth story session. We will discuss your hopes, your fears and look at the practicalities of where you plan to birth and who will be there. I will share information with you about birthing physiology and how you and those around you can support this. Common interventions and how to avoid unnecessary ones will be discussed along with your rights and responsibilities. I will support you with creating a birth and postpartum plan and provide you with tools and resources to support your preparation.

The inherited release method (IRM) is an energetic healing modality that works with your body, mind and ancestral memories to clear energetic patterns that have been passed down to you in this lifetime. IRM was developed by Elizabeth Brown and is informed by a wide range of powerful scientific understandings of trauma, the nervous system and epigenetic and intergenerational trauma.  

Epigenetic studies now show us that cellular memories from previous generations are able to be detected scientifically in current generations. This work is no longer in the realm of the mystical - it is a tangible and powerful healing modality.  IRM blends the science of epigenetics with body-led energy work to address these inherited imprints at their root. It can help clear imprints from the past that you were never meant to carry today.

As women we hold so many ancestral, cellular memories from the women who have come before us. The women who lived, loved, birthed, and lost. The women who have held space for so much through their lives. The ancestors who survived and passed their memories, good and bad, along to us. In IRM healing we feel much of this resonance in the womb space. 

This modality requires a willingness to engage in energetic healing. It can provide much support to women going through fertility or loss journeys. It’s a way to feel lighter and more connected to yourself. Healing via this modality is not about reliving the past, it is about releasing the weight of it so you can move forward with greater freedom. 

What does an IRM session with me involve?

This 1:1 session is a 1 - hour in person session or it can be done online via a Zoom call. Energetic healing has no boundaries. 

I will identify stored emotions and beliefs that are asking to be cleared during our session and I track them back to where they began. These may come from your own life, your family line or beyond. This is done using a muscle testing modality called kinesiology. Once I have identified what is coming up for you I will use acupressure, energetic mapping and guided release work to gently support your nervous system to let go of what no longer belongs there. 

In an IRM session your body sets the pace, and will only release what feels safe to release. This can take a few sessions of work to really drop into the space of safely to release what needs to go. It is recommended to have a series of 4-6 sessions, paced a week apart.
